How does it work?

Peanut Oil Petri Dish

We’d love to show you! Here’s what happens on the micro-scale side of things with our favorite logo — the petri dish.

Part 1: The usual suspect.

Pictured is a drop of a common ingredient in many restaurants and stores: Peanut Oil.

To demonstrate our bugs “appetite” for cleaning, we mixed 1 oz. of hot water with 1/8th tsp. of our bugs and applied it to the petri dish and oil.

Part 2: It’s meal time for our BUGs.

Within half an hour of application, the usually thick and staining oil has begun to dissipate as our bugs break it down on a microscopic level. This makes the cleaning process all the easier for us — in the meantime, we can let the bugs work and take a break!

And that’s it! Really — our BUGs work from a wonderfully simple 2-Step Process.

After we applied our BUGs, all we had to do was wait while they did the work. In our petri dish, within 2 hours of application the once strong peanut oil has been broken down and eaten making for a remarkably thorough clean up. The longer they sit and eat, the cleaner it gets.

On a microscopic level, our BUGs chowed down on the greasier aspects of the peanut oil, which left a much simpler liquid (nearly odorless, at that!) ready to be wiped away with simple water or soap. Taking deep cleaning to a whole new level!

It’s not just small examples like this either!

While our BUGs work at smaller levels we can’t see with the naked eye, they are easily applied to much larger and wider scale projects — offering an Eco-Friendly solution to many cleaning needs.

Want to give it a try? They’re always hungry for more cleaning!
